Thanks for sharing, Beth. I had signed up with them last year, and I don’t remember seeing that. It’ll be a good thing to do as we wind down this season on Happy Feet. I just downloaded their iPhone app and see a few other things I want to do, too.
UCLA Mindful is free and has videos with information on how to get started and then about 15 regular and wellness meditations of varied lengths. There is also a timer if you want to meditate on your own and a link to their free 30 minute meditation session on Thursday afternoons.
Meditation Studio has some free meditations and an extensive library in the paid version.
Don’t skip this one because of its name. The VA has an app called PTSD Coach free to all and useful even if not experiencing PTSD. The “Manage Symptoms” section has a mindfulness section, soothing sounds, body scans, sleep tools, and other calming techniques.
Thanks, Aiesha! Since I’m usually on video calls, I thought it might help to get in a little extra movement. Online reviews are so mixed. It’s nice to hear from someone who uses one. I want the Cubii JR2 because it would fit under my small desk. It’s out of stock everywhere, but I’ll keep checking for it.
Thanks, Beth. I am thinking I might get one. I want a newer model (the Cubii Jr 2) that isn’t in stock anywhere I’ve looked, but I will report back if I can get one.
Hi, all. I’m Annmarie, and this is my third Happy Feet. The first time I joined the program I wondered why people repeated it. I get it now! The support from Jen and the other participants, the great speakers, and the suggestions I’ve picked up along the way have really helped to motivate me.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2022 and am experiencing side effects from endocrine therapy. I am glad to have found Cancer Bridges last year.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Mother Galina! I look forward to being together with you and so many others in this round of Happy Feet. Thank you, Jen and all for the great support. -Annmarie Weisman
Here are my Energy Bites using almond butter and chocolate chips. I used the stand mixer, which worked well. I added about 1/8 tsp of black pepper since it works well with turmeric. You don’t taste it. There is a bit left that I put in the fridge since it was a little crumbly. I didn’t have room in the freezer. I’d say it makes 20 balls. I could eat these every day. Next time I’ll try craisins.
Beth: Thanks so much. I’d take any suggestions you have. My email address is: aweisman@mac.com. I didn’t do well with tamoxifen and am struggling with Zoladex. Hopefully the anastrozole will be kinder to me! Thanks again. -Annmarie
